Where do I even begin with this wedding? From the breathtaking architecture and natural light to film-inspired photos for their always in-the-moment love, Madison and Spencer’s elegant and modern wedding at The Preserve at Canyon Lake will always be one of my favorites.
So many of my couples want to be present for each other throughout their wedding day, and Madison and Spencer were no exception. Every second was stunning and timeless, just like their love for each other.
With views of the Texas Hill Country, two tranquil lakes, fresh white interiors and floor-to-ceiling windows, this venue quickly won my heart. The entire space is bathed in natural light, and we never had to worry about poor weather. Their chapel and ballroom make it a dream indoor wedding location. Plus, The Preserve’s architecture is filled with elegant, modern lines – creating the perfect blank canvas for any wedding theme. Even with minimal wedding decorations, this space would be a stunning backdrop for any couple’s love story.
I don’t think I’ve ever been quite so in love with a wedding suite. This venue had so much space for Madison and her bridesmaids to get ready together, and again – THOSE WINDOWS. You can’t beat natural light, my friends.
Madison was surrounded by so much joy and love while she got ready, including many tender moments with her son. After she slipped into her stunning wedding dress, Madison had a first look with her dad and a first touch with Spencer. I love the emotions of these slower, intentional moments on a wedding day – and the pictures always speak for themselves.
If you thought the getting ready space had great windows – The Preserve’s chapel goes above and beyond. These windows overlook the beautiful outdoor lake and views of the surrounding countryside. So while you have the comfort and luxury of an indoor wedding, you also have the peaceful views of the Hill Country. The balcony overlooking the ceremony site also creates stunning “from above” photo opportunities.
After tying the knot in front of all their loved ones, Madison and Spencer took to the outdoors for their post-ceremony portraits. I always work it into my couples’ timelines to sneak away for some private photos. Not only is it an intimate pause on a whirlwind day, but it’s a moment to capture that “so in love” feeling for years to come.
These photos really speak to the versatility of The Preserve, as their outdoor space created an equally elegant and timeless backdrop for their photos.
Once the wedding party entered The Preserve’s gorgeous ballroom, the celebrations began! While every moment of their day was overflowing with love, Madison and Spencer decided not to announce the cake cutting. They ended up sharing their first bites of cake together on the venue’s grand staircase.
I always love when my couples do what feels right for them, and this moment was just them celebrating their sweet, sweet love.
Film always feels raw, real and in-the-moment, which felt so right for Madison and Spencer’s relaxed and timeless love story.
