If you’re dreaming up your perfect Texas wedding day, you’re probably searching high and low for the most magical hill country wedding venues. I’ve photographed love stories in vineyards, modern estates, restored mansions, and ranches under wide-open skies—and I’m so excited to share my favorite Hill Country wedding venues with you. Each one has something special, whether it’s the light, the views, the details, or simply how it feels to be there.
This list is all heart & I’ve curated it not just based on aesthetics, but based on how these spaces hold space for real people and real love. Let’s explore some of the most unforgettable places to say “I do” in Austin, Fredericksburg, and the surrounding rolling hills of Central Texas.
Our state capitol blends “Keep Austin Weird” charm with modern elegance, and the wedding venues here reflect just that. If you’re looking for a Hill Country vibe with a touch of Austin edge (or simply venues you can’t find anywhere else), these locations are full of unique character and soul.
Without question, Woodbine Mansion has been one of the most popular wedding venues of the past couple of years. This white-columned stunner is a vision of Southern elegance. With century-old oak trees and graceful interiors, it truly feels like stepping into an age-old love story. I’ve shot some of my all-time favorite weddings here, including my OG Woodbine couple, Alex & Brandon.
A historic mansion tucked into serene Texas woods, The Grand Lady feels like something out of a romance novel. Its dreamy mix of heritage architecture and artful modern design makes it perfect for couples who want a wedding that feels both classic and fresh.
Lush gardens and large oaks, a glass ballroom, and a restored Victorian style mansion? Yes, please. Barr Mansion is one of the most eco-conscious hill country wedding venues around. They are a zero waste facility devoted to doing their part to divert waste from landfills, which is an impressive goal in the event industry! And, the setting is just as thoughtful as the mission behind it. Nature-loving romantics, this one’s for you.
Tucked along the shores of Lake Austin, Laguna Gloria feels like a hidden pocket of magic right inside the city. With winding garden paths, larger-than-life sculptures, and the historic (and truly iconic) Driscoll Villa, it’s a venue that blends art, nature, and timeless elegance. Every corner feels like it was made to be wandered—and photographed.Have a peek at one of my engagement sessions here (I have my first wedding here coming soon, too!)
If the words Italian villa in the hills make your heart flutter, Villa Antonia is the one. With its arched balconies, stone courtyards, and sweeping Hill Country views, this Mediterranean-inspired estate feels like you’ve stepped into a sun-drenched Tuscan daydream. Cali & Brandon’s wedding here still lives rent-free in my head (and heart).
Sleek, spacious, and so thoughtfully designed, The Arlo is modern luxury with a warm heart. With indoor and outdoor ceremony options and picture-perfect styling, it’s a gorgeous backdrop for your Austin wedding.
Fredericksburg isn’t just where I live, it’s where my heart is. (My partner and two sweet pups live here with me!) This sweet German town is full of charm, character, and the most breathtaking wedding spots nestled between vineyards and open skies.
A peaceful, tucked-away treasure with cozy lodges and wild, beautiful scenery, Camp Hideaway feels like an elevated camp experience: rustic, romantic, and perfect for weekend-long celebrations.
Wide open fields, peaceful porches, and that unfussy Hill Country magic—Contigo Ranch is the kind of place where you can breathe deeply and just be (and enjoy gorgeous views while you’re at it).

Swallows Eve is modern Hill Country at its best. Elegant but unfussy, tucked just outside Fredericksburg and surrounded by oak trees and a rolling landscape. The barn-style reception space offers clean lines and beautiful light, while the outdoor ceremony spot feels natural and warm, complete with a stucco fireplace and string lights.
La Bonne Vie (translation: “the good life”) lives up to its name with 200 acres of hill country views and an open air chapel with gorgeous stained glass. It’s the perfect setting for a luxe Hill Country celebration with a timeless feel.
These gems are spread throughout the rest of the Hill Country, from Dripping Springs to Johnson City, and each one holds something unique to offer.
Modern, striking, and nestled in nature—The Videre is made for couples who want clean lines and moody romance with a view. It’s a fresh take on a Hill Country wedding venue that still honors the beauty of the landscape.
With clean farmhouse lines and modern boho styling, Mae’s Ridge is effortlessly cool and made for joyful celebrations.
Looking for something out of the ordinary? Walden Retreats blends luxury glamping with Hill Country river views, giving you a slow and intentional wedding weekend that truly feels like a retreat into nature.
A beloved classic, Camp Lucy offers multiple venue options across one sprawling estate. Whether you’re drawn to Tuscan-inspired architecture or the modern whimsy of Ian’s Chapel, it’s a little slice of paradise in the hill country.
With a stunning vaulted-ceiling stone chapel and expansive hilltop views, Canyonwood Ridge is the perfect blend of grand rooted in iconic hill country style. Indoors or out, the light here is chef’s kiss.
Architectural, artful, and wildly photogenic, Prospect House is for design-forward couples who want their venue to be as modern as their love story.
With panoramic views and a reception space designed for dancing the night away, The Terrace Club brings big celebration energy with Hill Country charm.
Whether you’re drawn to the rolling vineyards of Fredericksburg, the artful architecture of Austin, or the peaceful hillside views outside the city, there’s a hill country wedding venue for every celebration style. My biggest advice? Choose a space that feels like you. Where you can breathe deep, take it all in, and know this is the place you’ll feel comfortable in. In a way, it’ll feel like your love, if it was a place.
If you’re still deciding or want to see how these venues look and feel through a photographer’s lens, I’d love to help. (I’m just a click away!)
I’m always happy to share real galleries, offer honest insight, or simply be a shoulder to lean on as you plan a day that feels right for you.
Celebrating your love, your story, your truth—always.
