Anissa & Brea have such a genuine love and connection. Throughout the entire session they giggled and could not stop smiling at one another.
When Anissa and I spoke on the phone months before their session, she told me all about her vision for the proposal. She mentioned that she was having a hard time finding an inclusive photographer in the Hill Country. I was excited that she reached out to me because as a queer photographer, it is my heart for every person that I work with to feel so extremely comfortable with me.
I know what it is like to feel uncomfortable or to not feel welcome to be exactly who you are. If you’re in love and want to celebrate your love, I am ready to celebrate with you without any conditions.
Leading up to the proposal we were concerned about the weather but thankfully everything worked out exactly how we had planned. I arrived at Das Peach Haus before Anissa and Brea to make sure there was no one on the dock, and I pretended to be a nature photographer.
Once they arrived I stayed nearby so I could listen for my cue. Once Anissa got down on one knee, I no longer had to pretend and I made sure to capture that special moment.
The rest of our time together was an absolute dream. They were so fun to work! We had so many laughs and Anissa even said, “I keep forgetting that you’re here,” because they were so focused on one another, soaking up the sweetness of being newly engaged!
